In September I was again a guest at the Traunsteiner Hut. We spent a beautiful autumn day in the mountains and stopped there for dinner. As always, it tasted excellent and the hosts are super nice and friendly.

Very cozy hut in a great location if the ascent shouldn't be that difficult. The hosts are warm and eager to please their guests. Food was of a high standard. Rooms and sanitary facilities are clean and in perfect working order. For the kids there was a room full of games. You can't go wrong here.

Very nice hut tenants, delicious food and a wonderful view. Pure relaxation!

We know many huts and this one offers everything a hut heart desires: a wonderful location, extremely personable, attentive operators and a fantastic kitchen, everything freshly prepared. We will be back!

Today we write SEPTEMBER 20, 2020. CORONA TIME: 😷 in the morning before 11:00 a.m. we are on site. Morning pint 🍺. The landlords are not enthusiastic about us (2 people). Then self-service, we think about going again, but decide to get 2 drinks. Thanks for the unfriendly Radler - und Wasser edition. Some hosts just don't need to be friendly. 2 stars are too many, but we got 2 drinks.

the best Kaiserschmarren in the world? I don't know - but he's damn close and everything else that I will eat from today will have to measure up to it. Super quality, wonderfully caramelized - an effort is still made here. Thank you - the way to you was definitely worth it. The whole thing combined with the magnificent view from the sun terrace - thank you. We will be back.

Very nice hut, very nice, committed and friendly host couple, very good atmosphere, absolutely recommendable.

The new innkeepers Dani and Marko offer a great hut experience! The world is close to paradise when you sit on the terrace of the Traunsteiner Hütte in the evening with very good food and drink and have a view of the Winklmoosalm with the Loferer Steinberge.

After our hike we stopped at the hut and treated ourselves to delicious roast pork or Kaiserschmarrn. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The view from the terrace while eating is a dream and it is great that the hut is a little bit away from the hustle and bustle starting from the parking lot and the large Winklmoosalm!

We were there to admire the starry sky. The dinner was super delicious (and still comparatively cheap), the scrambled eggs at breakfast was unbeatable, accommodation (we chose the mattress camp) and sanitary areas were very clean and the hosts were very nice and personable!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Traunsteiner Hütte thanks to the lovely owners and the delicious food. We had cheese spaetzle, roast pork and then a Kaiserschmarrn and everything was excellent! We'd even say it's the best roast pork we've ever tasted .. The rooms are very nice and cozy and on the balcony you can watch the great starry sky. Despite the current situation with Corona, we felt very comfortable, because the hygiene guidelines were observed and we still didn't feel any restrictions. We will be back definitely!

Nice, very cozy hut where you can stop off and stay overnight. Stayed 3 nights. Everything was very clean and the new operators come from the hotel industry and know what they are doing. We have been looked after very lovingly, you can tell that Dani and Marco are passionate about it. The food is generally great, the Kaiserschmarrn a poem and Marco's roast pork unmatched. When the weather is nice you have a wonderful view of the mountains and can enjoy this wonderfully with an Aperol Spritz in the sun. Not even on every hut!

Nice hut with super delicious food. We stayed one night and all meals were super tasty. The Kaiserschmarren is amazing! There is a star deduction for the not very cheap prices and the sometimes lack of friendliness. Nevertheless we would come back.

Always my pleasure! I am not sure about the Kaiserschmarren, the Stoißer Alm is also very good. I need a direct comparison! Of course, I do not want to forget the mountain panorama. It is also unique!

Typical restaurant in the middle of the park, frequented by locals because of excellent quality. Friendly and helpful staff and average prices.
